The old street named Osmanthus path is one of the famous attractions in Nan Zhuang 南庄 , an ancient rural town that was redeveloped by the Japanese after an earthquake in 1935.
From Zhu Nan train station 竹南站 you can take a bus to Nan Zhuang. The bus fare is about TWD 100.
Must try the yummy Hsin Zhu vermicelli, it has a very tender and springy texture.
Ancient winding alleys lined with shops selling a variety of delicious snacks and specialty produce which includes all sorts of osmantus products such as osmanthus tea, honey, egg rolls and cookies.
Remember that I mentioned about the tourist stamps culture in Taiwan (see: Lavender Cottage Farm). Don’t forget to collect the signature stamp from the old Nan Zhuang post office.

Take train to Zhunan Railway Station(竹南火車站) -> Miaoli Bus (苗栗客運) -Nanzhuang Line (南庄方向之班車) -> Nanzhuang (南庄)
