French Onion Soup 法式洋葱汤


P. S. 这道菜让我先生期待了一整天!!在餐桌上,看着他一面吃,一脸满足的样子,就让我觉得在切洋葱时,不停的流眼泪,熬煮汤时,不停的留着汗水,是值得的。有时辛苦一点,但换来的是甜蜜的回馈。(^_−)−☆

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 50g butter
  • 5 big yellow onions
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon of thyme herb
  • 1000ml chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup red wine


  • French bread or Garlic bread
  • Cheddar cheese


  •     50克牛油
  •     5个大洋葱 (白黄色的)
  •     2汤匙面粉
  •     1茶匙百里香草
  •     1000毫升鸡汤
  •     1/2杯红葡萄酒


  •     法式面包
  •     切达芝士 (Cheddar cheese)


  • Onions, peeled and thinly sliced.
  • Melt butter in pot, stir fry the onion till slightly golden brown.
  • Stir in the flour and thyme and cook for a couple of minutes, add in the chicken broth and bring it to boil. Then, add in the red wine and ontinue to boil it for 45 minutes with medium fire, stir the soup sometimes.
  • Turn off the fire, cover pot and let it slowly simmer approximately 2-3 hours.
  • To serve, pour the soup into ovenproof dishes and top with french bread (or garlic bread) and sprinkle cheese on top. Toast it until golden, then serve immediately.


  • 洋葱,去皮,切成薄片。
  • 放牛油入锅内煮溶,然后加入洋葱翻炒至微呈金黄色。
  • 拌入面粉和百里香,煮一两分钟,再加入鸡汤,并把汤煮滚后加入红葡萄酒, 小火继续煮 沸45分钟,不时搅拌汤。
  • 熄火并覆盖汤,让汤闷在锅内2小时。
  • 要食用洋葱汤时,将法式面包放在汤上,洒上芝士,放入烤箱烤至芝士溶化就可以了。
